THERESA BAIRD SEWING BOX |
|||||||||||||||
|
APRIL 2021 NO LONGER AVAILABLE January 2016 I have reproduced this Shaker Sewing box for the class taught by Theresa Baird in the needlework seminar at Attic Needlework in Mesa, Arizona in January 2016. It was developed from a photograph of the original antique. My reproductions are made of birdseye maple as was the original. While the original appears to be covered with veneer I use solid wood. The original antique Shaker sewing box is in the bottom photo. Because the boxes were made for attendees at the symposium they are usually provided without pincushions, which are made by the purchasers. They can be provided with a pincushion as shown in the third photograph (see the pincushion discussion on the Series 1 Caddy page). Dimensions: Base: 5" x 5" x 2-1/4" Drawer Interior: 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" x 1-5/16" deep Top: 5" Diameter overall; pincushion recess 2-5/8" diameter x 5/16" deep Height overall: 5-3/8" Price: $125 (without pincushion) $135 (with pincushion) Shipping: $12 east of the Mississippi $17 for areas to the west. I accept Paypal and checks (for U.S. orders checks are preferred, and for international orders Paypal is the only form of payment); for checks contact me for the mailing address. Full payment must be received before the item is shipped. |
